is oil blotting paper bad for face?

is oil blotting paper bad for you?

after continual usage, does it make your skin produce more and more oil or is that just a myth? because i find that my skin produces more and more oil! and very quickly too...
so should i blot away about three quarters of the oil off my face and not all of it? would that stop me from producing so much oil, or will that trigger more oil production?

yes i used to use them a few times a day cos i has really oily skin but i realised it was just making my skin more oily, go to a doctor and tell them about your problem with the oil on your skin and ask if you could be prescribed a benozyl peroxide face wash, you used this once a day and it takes away the oil from your skin without causing your skin to react and over-produce oil. i hope this helps =]

Is Your Skin Excessively Oily? Look at a teenager and you'll notice that they have oily skin. Why? Their hormones are in full swing so oily skin is a natural side effect of becoming an adult. * Choose water-based cosmetics. Oily products can aggravate oily skin and lead to blemishes.
* Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Reduce, or eliminate, sugar and processed foods. The foods you eat are reflected in the appearance of your skin.
* Take time to relax and have fun. While everyone should follow this advice, there's a definite correlation between stress and acne

Diet plays a vital role replenishing the skin. A mixture of limejuice with cucumber juice is a good remedy that needs to be applied on the skin half an hour before taking a bath. A few drops of eau de cologne may be added to the mixture too. This mixture removes excess oil from the skin. It may also clear the pores in the process and thus prevent development of acne.

Medical practitioners and dermatologists generally recommend skin peels, laser treatments, Doxycycline, Accutane and tetracycline for skin care in case of oily skin. Cetaphil has also found support among them as a great face wash.
