What is the best way to kill mold caused by moisture? Bleach? I would like to be environmental.?
It's on the wall, so there would be paint involved. This place is old but I don't think the paint is, though underneath there could be lead, I'm not sure,
You don't say what room this is in..the first thing you do is determine where the moisture is coming from...unless a bath where steam condenses, this is not normal..and if your walls are damp inside, you better fix that pronto!
Bleach will turn the stuff colorless, but not necessarily kill mold..use a fungicide! But without stopping the moisture, mold will come right back. And please, don't worry too much about this...unless someone is really alergic to mold, no harm is being done..the world is full of mold, everywhere you turn..inside and outside. BUT that moisure in the walls is a big problem, for your wood could be rotting!
